PTA Trunk or Treat & Family Heritage Event

Date: Sunday, October, 22, 2023 (orginally Oct. 14, postponed due to rain)

Time: 4-6pm

  • 4:00 p.m. Childrens Games and Activities on Blacktop

  • 4:20 p.m. Costume Parade -starts on Blacktop - then goes around entire event area, past all the car displays, and then back to the Blacktop.

  • 4:30 p.m. Trunk-Or-Treating (designated area of CLES parking lot (north side by kindergarten classrooms) and grassy areas nearby. Children, bring a bag for collecting treats!

  • 5:30 p.m. Hang out and play on the playground, socialize, relax.

  • 6:00 p.m. Event officially ends

Volunteers Needed! If you can help out in any of the following ways, please contact Annette Bartlett at: annettethacker@gmail.com or you can also just pitch in when you arrive on Sunday.

  • Parking lot traffic control - 3 people from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. help direct traffic when cars are setting up, and ensure no cars are driving in/out of the trunk-or-treat area when kids are actively trunk-or-treating

  • Parking lot traffic control - 3 people from 5:30-6:00 p.m. -- help cars back out safely and exit parking lot, while kids may still be walking around

  • KIDS GAMES on the blacktop - 5 people from 4:00-4:30 p.m. -- help run a few simple kids games or or relays activities, or just help with kids crowd control in general :) (chalk drawing, hula hoops, ball toss, limbo, etc.)

  • SET UP & CLEAN UP -- All hands on deck (especially for clean up) - Help with set-up or clean-up before or after the activity. Pick up trash.

RSVP is NOT required to attend, but helps us estimate treat supplies needed.

Decorate your vehicle’s trunk, or set up a table/booth, to showcase a fall holiday or tradition.

Reserve your space by Oct. 18.

Dress in costumes or apparel that represents a holiday, tradition or culture from your family heritage.

Last call for winter coat donations for the Share the Warmth Winter Coat Drive.

New and gently used winter coats can be dropped off at the Trunk or Treat & Family Heritage Event!

If you need to change your RSVP, please re-submit your RSVP.

Candy and prize donations may still be dropped off at the candy pick-up table (the PTA table).

Please spread the word about the NEW date of Oct. 22 and encourage everyone to RSVP!
