Dolphin
Dollars Program and Book Swap at CLES
Chevy Chase Bank has teamed
up with Centennial Lane Elementary to bring an exciting
school banking program
to your students. Through the “Dolphin Dollars” program,
students will be exposed to the basics of banking and encouraged
to actively participate by having their own savings account!!
The CLES Book Swap:
Bring a gently used book from home and swap it with one
from our large selection. There is no cost involved and
your child can participate as often as they would like.
The times and location are the same as Dolphin Dollars.
Initial Set-Up
To get our child’s account started, all you have to
do is visit the local Chevy Chase Bank conveniently located
at 9245 Baltimore National Pike (across from Chatham shopping
center). We will also hold a table event during the various “Back
to School Nights”, at Centennial Lane School, so accounts
can be set up directly with a representative of the bank.
Accounts can be opened with as little as $5. Also, there
are no minimums and no service fees. These accounts are set
up as CUSTODIAL, so be sure to bring your Drivers License
and the student’s Social Security number. The student
can make deposits at any time, but only the parent listed
on the account can make withdrawals.
Deposits
The “In-school” Bank service
times are every Friday from 8:33 to 8:45 in the cafeteria.
The PTA facilitator is Karla Vea. The staff liaison is Mrs.
Scheler.
At any
time, parents can transact on the account at any of the over
200 Chevy Chase Bank branches.
Please contact Karla Vea (email) or
Mrs. Scheler or the branch at 410-465-2572 if you have
any questions.
