Goals and Objectives

-
To enhance the education, welfare,
and safety of the entire CLES student body.
-
To promote
child/family welfare and safety awareness
in the community.
-
To increase awareness of
and provide support to the special education
community within CLES.
To promote
a healthy environment where children of
all abilities and challenges are accepted; and
by doing so help
to enhance the educational experience for
the whole CLES community.

To promote parent, teacher,
and community involvement in the CLES PTA;
To encourage more members to participate
in CLES PTA activities and committees.
-
To
attain at least one (1) CLES PTA membership
from 90% or more of
the CLES
families.
-
To
monitor the changing issues that affect CLES
and the
CLES student
body,
including,
but not limited
to, redistricting, nutrition & physical
education. To communicate
these issues to the community
and
activate necessary responses.

To
monitor and actively
support CLES’ modernization
and expansion and foster communication between
parents, CLES staff and construction personnel
with a specific emphasis on health and safety
of CLES students during construction.
-
To
promote a “sense
of community” within
CLES by providing
an outlet for community
social opportunities.
-
To
seek to establish a
PTA Executive Board that
more closely
reflects
the diversity of
our school
community.
